Get started getting in shape fast

Most of us need to take a simpler approach: do something. The first step is just being more active even if its only a little. Start by walking; it can always be worked into your day. Anyone can do it any time, in almost any place, without any special equipment. The opportunities are plentiful: go for a walk after dinner instead of watching television; walk to work; walk to the store rather than driving; or take the dog or the kids for a long walk. A moderately brisk pace is preferable, but build up to it gradually.

Of course, there are lots of other activities besides walking that will give you the benefits of an aerobic workout, and you should pursue as many as you can and want to. Choose the ones you enjoy most, and have a great time while you get in shape. Here are some more ideas:

* Jogging – Start slow and build up your time and distance
* Swimming – low impact and great for your whole body!
* Rowing – Excellent overall fitness workout.
* Golf – Try walking and carry your own bag.
* Tennis – enjoy with friends
* Cycling – go for a ride with your favorite friend and loved ones!
* Dancing – Take your spouse or loved one out for an enjoyable evening!

Remember – just get started. Do something every day and soon you’ll be on that road to building muscles, losing weight and getting in shape fast! Burn more calories all day. Watch that belly fat start to disappear! You’ll look better and feel better!

You can enjoy life more, sleep better and stop wondering how to lose stomach fatenjoy your journey to better health.

Having fun while you’re getting in shape fast!

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 1 Corinthians 9:24

Exercise can be fun, provide recreation and offer opportunities for companionship. The exhilaration and emotional release of participating in sports and exercise bolster your mental and physical health. Pent-up anxieties and frustrations seem to disappear when you’re having fun and exercising. Enjoy your journey to better health.

Some tips to help you get started and keep moving:

1. Choose activities that you think you’ll enjoy. Most people will stick to their exercise program if they are having fun, even though they are working hard.
2. Set aside a regular exercise time. Whether this means joining an exercise class or getting up a little earlier every day, make time for this addition to your routine and don’t let anything get in your way. Planning ahead will help you get around interruptions in your workout schedule, such as bad weather and vacations.
3. Set short term goals. Don’t expect to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. It has taken awhile for you to gain the weight, it will take time to lose it. Keep a record of your progress and tell your friends and family about your achievements.
4. Vary your exercise program. Change exercises or invite friends to join you to make your workout more enjoyable. There is no “best” exercise – just the one that works best for you. It won’t be easy, especially at the start. But as you begin to feel better, look better and enjoy a new zest for life, you will be rewarded many times over for your efforts.

So start getting in shape fast and having more fun! Enjoy your workout time – watch a comedy while you’re burning off those calories.

Building muscle leads to longer, healthier lives

Experts and Medical professionals agree – Building muscles helps us burn more calories throughout the day. It elevates our mood and can greatly enhance one’s self esteem.

Start today. If you’ve been out of the habit of exercising for awhile ( like me! ) start small. Take a nice walk at lunch if you can. Or start your morning off with a nice brisk walk. Walk fast. Slowly build up to jogging. Supplement your walking or jogging with some weight training. Building muscles reduces fat.

How much exercise is enough? … “Eight minutes in the morning?” … “30 minutes a week?” … “10 minutes, three times a day? It is all so confusing. We will try to set the record straight about what is recommended and why.

The first recommendation we will consider is the U. S. Surgeon General’s recommendation for 30 minutes of moderate physical activity each day, preferably every day of the week. This recommendation was published in 1996 in the Surgeon General’s Report on Physical Activity and Health. It is supported by solid scientific evidence that this amount of exercise will yield enhanced fitness, burn a significant number of calories, and improve overall health and reduce your risk of disease.

If you have been inactive for several years and you are carrying around excess weight, this recommendation is an appropriate activity goal for you to achieve over the next six months. But if you have any health concerns, you should discuss them with your health care provider first. If you are given approval to proceed, we suggest that you start out by aiming for 5 minutes a day to start with for the first two weeks. If you feel fine, you can add an additional 5 minutes a day for a total of 10 minutes a day for the next two weeks. You can work in this fashion making small increases in the amount of activity over an extended period of time until you get to the 30-minute mark.

Make a plan for yourself in your journal to reach the goal of 30 minutes a day over the next six months. In your plan, make sure you set milestones along the way and indicate the reward you will give yourself for achieving each milestone. [NOTE: Keep in mind that you don't have to exercise continuously. Three 10-minute sessions in a day are just as good as one 30-minute session.]

If you’re like me and could stand to lose a few pounds – the answer is simple – exercise and lose weight fast! Eating healthy is important in this equation as well. Start exercise and building muscles with tennis today and watch your health improve!

Time to start Getting in Shape fast!

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Psalms 31: 23-24

The Doer! In order to get what we want we have to DO something in the direction of our goal. We have to get up and get active. Get up and exercise. Get out and walk or jog. Get up and into the weight room. Or – in the comfort of your home get up and get on that TreadClimber!

In less than a week Spring will officially be upon us! Thank the Lord! This Winter has been unusually harsh in many parts of the USA and Canada. Brutal snowstorms. Massive amounts of snowfall.  Classrooms and workplaces ravaged by a flu strain no one was prepared for.

Spring Break has started for some. In just three short months the unofficial start of Summer will be here. Vacation time! School’s out! Are you getting ready for swimsuit season. Its crunch time. Time to get with it. Time to DO something. Anything. And stick with it.

Is it a realistic hope to get in better shape between now and the end of the school year? Can you lose some of those extra pounds before school lets out? The answer is a resounding Yes! You know you can. We can get with the program and lose those unsightly bulges. Trim that waist and work on slimmer thighs. You can firm up that butt. And strengthen those ab muscles.

Six-Pack abs may be wishful thinking ( or, in my case – totally out of the question ) between now and June. Some of us may already be on the way to tighter abs and a much flatter stomach.

Yes, there is time to shed those unwanted extra pounds. Time to slim down and look real hot in that swimsuit. Still time to get in shape and fit into that beautiful little bikini. Getting in shape fast is possible. You CAN have a healthier, sexier body by Summer.

The key is getting started. Right now! Don’t delay. Just do something to get rolling. And keep increasing your physical activity each day. Enjoy a better diet.

Getting in shape fast is an achievable goal. Start building muscle today.

Tips for Building Muscle and Losing Weight with your Bowflex TreadClimber

He pulled up in front of the sorority house that on that warm April evening. Just moments later she came out to meet him as he walked up towards the door. She was a beautiful young blond. The kind of beauty that just came natural to her. She skipped down the walk and he opened the car door for her. “What a lucky guy” I thought as he walked over to get in the car.

Then I recognized him. He played forward on the basketball team. A big kid from a small town half an hour away. Not a great athlete, not a star – but he tried hard. He stayed in good shape. I’d seen him in the rec center doing laps and then in the weight room. He had a small town simplicity. Work hard, treat people nicely and enjoy life.

And, he had a really, incredibly beautiful date on that spring evening! She wasn’t going out with a beer-bellied good-time Joe from the frat next door. She chose the guy who worked hard at keeping himself in good shape.

During the off-season he went to the gym. On cold nights after basketball season ended he could be found in the rec-center doing laps. In the weight room, and on one of the new Bowflex TreadClimbers!
